Pastoral Renewal Exchange

Pastoral Renewal Exchange (PRE)

PRE began very simply.  Two seminars organised by the Catholic Social Welfare Commission in the middle 1970s drew together representatives from parishes all over the country to exchange ideas and experiences.  Though successful, a postal service seemed an easier way of involving more people in a similar "pastoral exchange".

Who is it for?

Anyone interested in improving the quality of the pastoral work of the Church - both specialists and practitioners, clerical and lay.

What is it trying to do?

To promote pastoral renewal by keeping its subscribers informed of personal experiences and experiments and the thinking behind them, books, articles and relevant ideas and useful resources.

Through a quarterly, non-profit-making publication, made up of positive and practical contributions mainly provided by its subscribers, and aimed specifically at their needs and interests.
